Sonex Metrology Limited was formed in 2011, as a spin-out company from DCU, to commercialise a photoacoustic technology that was developed in their Nanomaterials Processing Laboratory. This technology has been in R&D mode since 2002 with heavy financial support from Enterprise Ireland that has yielded several European and worldwide patents. Sonex Metrology have negotiated a global Manufacturing and development licence with DCU for this technology and have exclusive rights worldwide to all customer applications. The company have just been funded to design, develop and launch a range of exciting products into the Semicon market based on this technology.
