SocialOrbits is the first fully collaborative travel reservation and event planning web application. Part travel-booking site, part decision engine, SocialOrbits lets users discover new ideas, save money, and share their plans with their social graphs. It allows every user to join a small group of people they like to travel with, called an “orbit.” People in the same orbit share a calendar and a contact book so that everyone can see what everyone else is up to. SocialOrbits then aggregates listings from other travel sites, hotels, airlines, clubs, etc., so that these groups of people are alerted to deals and discounts that they qualify for due to their group size.
