The Social Good Brazil arose from the partnership between the Volunteers in Action Institute (VAT), which manages the Portal Online Volunteers (VOL), and the Community Institute Florianópolis (ICom). The first step was in 2010, when organizations promoted the seminar Together is Better (TiB), a meeting in Florianopolis with international speakers and great names of communication and the third sector to promote the use of technologies to assist in solving social problems . In 2011, the organizations participated in the Social Good Summit in New York. The event brought together speakers and people around the world to exchange ideas on the use of technological tools to solve global problems. Inspired as seen there, they decided to create the Social Good Brazil program that has the seal of UNFoundation.
