SnapCar is an insurance technology company that developed a complete telematics platform adapted to the Latin American market. It allows car owners to take out insurance that charges them based on the use of their vehicle, a model known in the world as Pay How You Drive (PHYD). SnapCar was founded by a team of professionals led by Gonzalo Delger with more than 25 years of insurance experience, together with Quasar Ventures, and also has the support of Wayra Argentina from the Telefónica group and recently the support of Mundilab, the Munich accelerator RE. The Snapcar team is based in Buenos Aires.
