The SteriGrip works by harnessing the energy you use opening a door when entering the washroom. Using a simple, reliable and patented design, this free energy can be used to activate the disinfection cycle. As the door closes, the SteriGrip handle silently rotates through the door and passes through their patented disinfection chamber. The disinfection chamber applies a thin layer of antimicrobial fluid and uses this to clean the surface.This process is kind to hands, yet kills 99.9% of bacteria within 30 seconds. As the handle exits the chamber, the fluid evaporates leaving a clean, bacteria-free surface that is dry to the touch, and lasts for up to 4 hours between cycles.
