SiC Systems is a manufacturer of large diameter (> 150mm), silicon carbide substrates and wafers to the semiconductor industry. Located in Golden, Colorado, USA. Silicon carbide has application for virtually every semiconductor component in existence. Silicon carbide is being utilized at a rapidly increasing rate. While the material is still in comparatively (to silicon) limited use due to its high cost, its value has been overwhelmingly confirmed by practical application in the military, space and now in more common devices such as Schottky diodes and LEDs.
