The name Shumbi comes from the Swahili word meaning “heaps”. Shumbi was founded back in 2009 to revolutionize the way people manage and interact with their “heaps” of information. Whether these heaps were their social connections in Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter or search results from Google, Bing and Yahoo. Shumbi has created desktop and mobile apps to go about solving and making some kind of sense of the plethora of information that bombards us every day. Moving on over 2 years since the company was founded Shumbi has shipped over a million applications, is post revenue and we are pleased that so many of you are enjoying using Shumbi Discover to “Search different”.
