Uluru begain its business by providing business process outsourcing services during 2001, and subsequently launched crowdsourcing platform Shufti during 2007. The platform has acquired over 76,000 users to date. The company plans to utilize this recent gained funds to further enhance human resources for further development and management of crowdsourcing business. Shufti was one of the oldest platforms around for its type. While they may have launched the platform during 2007, there were another crowdsourcing services launched in Japan during the time, such as Lancers and C-team. So they have begun the croundsourcing platform almost five years before even Crowdworks, one of the most current popular services within the space.
