ShoeSense consists of an accelerometer that measures the peak force felt by the runner. The sensors measure the force felt in a new shoe, and our patent-pending model alerts the runner when the force is too great and can cause injury. The electronic transmitter is attached to the upper of the shoe and can be removed and recharged. Data stored on the sensor is transmitted via Bluetooth technology to the user’s phone and/or computer.
