Shalom Catering was established by Maliga Naidoo in January 2004. Maliga identified a gap in the market for personal service in the catering industry in Zululand, on the North Coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal. She decided to grab the opportunity to become an entrepreneur, and use her vast experience in the catering industry to start her own company. Shalom Catering is a BEE company. The current permanent staff complement of Shalom Catering is 10 of which 7 are female and 3 male. All staff are fully trained in all the relevant aspects of food preparation, hygiene, safety, etc.
