Sea Change Foundation is a private family foundation that addresses threats posed by climate change in the United States and internationally. Sea Change was formed in 2006 by Nat Simons and Laura Baxter-Simons, who are currently the foundation’s co-directors. The foundation’s international arm, Sea Change Foundation International, was founded in 2011. Formerly known as Klein Ltd., Sea Change International shares a common strategy with Sea Change Foundation, supporting organizations focused specifically on climate change mitigation and clean energy policy. Nat Simons is currently the sole director of Sea Change Foundation International. Focus areas of Sea Change and Sea Change International include utility reform, business and finance, communications and public engagement, transportation, and energy efficiency. Both foundations use a focused philanthropy strategy to provide support where it’s needed most.
