SchoolX is an online platform that facilitates the education process for out-of-school children in vulnerable areas. SchoolX envisions a shared economy model with volunteer teachers which include university students, educated refugees, retired teachers, and other local volunteers, who will teach refugee students. Its solution is to recruit teachers within the refugee community and local community, and connect them with refugee students who are eager to learn. The solution, in a form of an online platform, will provide training packages that involve not only fundamental tenets of teaching, but also pedagogical and psycho-social training for the volunteers to prepare them to approach refugee children in the most appropriate and empowering manner.
