Schaltzeit has been founded as an agency for supporting corporate foresight with consulting services and scouting. Over time they have transformed into a provider of software solutions for strategic foresight, idea management, and idea competitions, complemented by their consulting services. The company has been founded in Berlin in 2006 as the first spin-off of Telekom Innovation Laboratories. It is an independent company since, working for clients in the automotive, medical, telecommunication, and other sectors. It is based in Berlin with another office in Brussels. Their major software tool is PEACOQ, a database and workflow solution for collaborative collection, interpretation and utilization of information, e.g. trends, ideas, company profiles. It is currently being used for technology and competitive intelligence, due diligence, idea competitions, or idea management.
