SalonFest wants to bring bright ideas, talent and music into people’s homes to share with their friends and community! They are providing an additional market to performers, thinkers and scientists, leaning on the “salon” concept of the 19th century, where salons provided a highly valuable meeting place for the exchange of ideas, socializing and culture. SalonFest makes it easy for talent to meet hosts. Hosts can be private people but also cafes and NGOs…Hosts create their own profile and can then search for interesting speakers/performers/musicians in their area. Hosts and performers are subsequently rating and evaluating each other, publicly visible. SalonFest links hosts to event planning websites in their area, so that audio gear, equipment and catering services can also be booked.
