SafeGov.org is a forum for cloud computing industry experts and decision-makers to discuss and promote solutions for the public and private sectors. It serves the public sector across the federal, state, and local governments; law enforcement bodies; and healthcare and education sectors. The forum was created to propose solutions, best practices, and guidance to ensure that public and private sector customers can seize the advantages of new cloud offerings while mitigating risk; provide detailed information that governments, enterprise, and educational institutions need to make complex decisions about shifting services to the cloud; provide a platform for experts and analysts to discuss issues affecting the broader cloud sector; help foster discussions of innovations and advancements in cloud computing by tracking policy developments, news coverage, and expert analysis and research; and promote IT practices. SafeGov.org was launched in 2011 and is operated from Washington, District of Columbia.
