Optic Fiber Systems provides first industrial production of optical fiber in russia. The Optic Fiber Systems company produces optic fiber for communication cables used by telecommunication companies for data transfer. The plant located in Saransk, the capital of Mordovia, was commissioned in 2015. In quarter 4, 2016, the Company started commercial production of optic fiber. In March 2018, the total output amounted 2,000 km of fiber.
