RuneCrypt was one of the top RuneScape tip sites in terms of number of users, size of forum community, content, and applications. It was officially approved and supported by the creators of the game, Jagex Games Studio, and achieved one of their highest site classifications. RuneCrypt pioneered RuneScape moviemaking, with its in-house and partner productions gaining over 850,000 views. RuneCrypt also developed some of the first price graphs sourced from the Grand Exchange and partnered with a top RuneScape web client, Fallen X. Rune Tips, the original RuneScape tip site with over 200,000 members and 5 million posts, completed its acquisition of RuneCrypt specific assets, including intellectual property related to software development in 2011.
