The Styrian prototyping specialist RPD ( R apid P roduct D evelopment) was founded in 1997 by Roberto Krenn. Due to the rapid growth, the relocation of Niklasdorf to Kapfenberg already took place in 2000. In 2016, the company generated sales of around three million euros. In addition to the core competency of prototyping (including selective laser sintering, stereolithography), the 30-strong team has also focused on the engineering of components, CNC machining (turning, milling, sawing) and surface refinement (high-gloss coating, laser marking) ). In addition, the company now has its own coordinate measuring machine (CMM) in order to guarantee top quality.
