RISC OS Open Ltd. is a company engaged in <a href="http://www.crunchbase.com/organization/arm">ARM</a> computer software and IT consulting. It manages the process of publishing the source code to RISC OS (originally designed by Acorn Computers for its ARM architecture). The source code publication is facilitated by a shared source initiative (SSI) between ROOL and Castle Technology. Company founders include staff who formerly worked for Pace, namely Ben Avison, Andrew Hodgkinson, Andrew Moyler, Richard Nicoll and Steve Revill.
