Ribl is a real-time, location-based message board mobile app where users can post and consume the most relevant content about their current vicinity so they’ll never miss out on what’s happening around them. Riblers are connected by proximity so they can view posts from other riblers who are geographically close to them without having to “friend” or “follow” them. Riblers can post and consume text, articles, images, video, and audio about cool things happening around their current location. Riblers can also “boost” the most interesting posts, which will increase the content’s geographical reach beyond the location where it was created. Additionally, a post’s geographical reach will decrease as time elapses. Thus, the content that shows up in a ribler’s feed is either hyper-local to her current location or very highly boosted, and recent. This proprietary algorithm will ensure that the user will only see the most recent, locally-relevant and highest-impact content.
