Letters of Demand should not be generic, just as every Landlord, Tenant, Property and Lease is unique.Until now only credit bureaus, debt collectors, a property owner and attorneys could send Letters of Demand. An estate agent may not send a “Letter of Demand” unless they are registered as a debt collector, which is an unnecessary additional cost. A letter from a specialised rental property attorney, as opposed to a debt collector, credit bureau or collections attorney, is the answer – and it can result in an immediate response from a tenant. The drawback with attorneys’ letters has always been cost – until now.
