Rebuilding Together NYC is a nonprofit organization for safe and healthy housing that provides repairs and modifications to low-income homes and nonprofit facilities. They exist to serve the pressing needs of low-income homeowners and nonprofit organizations throughout New York City. With the help of their corporate sponsors and civic-minded volunteers, they make this happen at no cost to the homeowner or organization that benefits from their programs. They feel that this mission is a testament to the willingness, and eagerness, of people to help make a difference. Founded in 1999, they have performed projects throughout the five boroughs and are building their programs to provide even more to those that need a helping hand.
