Esqalate is a nonprofit focused on bridging the Access to Justice Gap with tech. It operates two web platforms - Proboknow and Lowboknow. Proboknow connects the poorest of the poor with attorneys looking to gain practical experience; the attorneys work pro bono, and are guided through their cases by more experienced attorney mentors. Meanwhile, Lowboknow connects those clients who earn too much to qualify for free legal help, and yet not enough to afford market rate for an attorney ($250+/hour), with affordable legal representation.
