Pakistan People’s Party is a social democratic party in Pakistan. Since its inception, Pakistan People’s Party had been a major and influential political force in the country and its party's leadership has been dominated by the members of the Bhutto-Zardari family. Its center of power lies in the Southern Province of Sindh. The Pakistan People’s Party was formed in 1968 by Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, working with a number of liberal leftists who wanted Pakistan to disregard the idiom of religion in politics in favor of a program of rapid modernization of the country and the introduction of a socialist economy.
