PMRY which is a Special Purpose Entity has been set up under a joint project of the Government of India and the State Governments. This specific purpose unit has been set up to provide civic amenities to Indian rural and unlisted citizens through a centralized cooperative structure through authorized centers, in a planned, practical and sustainable manner.
