Viveiros Plansel grows viticultural nursery sector, mainly in the production of grafted rootstocks, which until that date were practically unknown in Portugal. Subsequently, Viveiros Plansel initiated a diversification process and became involved in the propagation of olive trees by semi-hardwood cuttings. The establishment of the company Plansel took place, in 1982, after the acquisition of Quinta de S. Jorge in Montemor-o-Novo, by Jorge Böhm, German by birth, but with great sympathy for Portugal.
