Planet Organic Market has deep roots in the Canadian natural food business. Starting out with a single store in northern Alberta, The company has expanded into a forward-thinking national chain with locations in five provinces. The main growth of Planet Organic Markets began in 1993 with the purchase of High Level Natural Foods--at the time, one of the most successful natural food retailers in Canada. In 2001, Planet Organic Health Corp was formed to bring the natural food experience to customers across Canada. Over the next three years, Planet Organic added Planet Organic Markets in Victoria, Port Coquitlam, Calgary, Halifax and Port Credit.
