PlaceMatters is a non-profit think tank for civic engagement and process in planning. It aims to create opportunities for informed, inclusive decision making in the planning of vibrant cities and communities. PlaceMatters develops cycles of continuous improvement in civic decision-making by linking research and practice, technology and public process, and local and global concerns. The company’s initiatives include open planning tools group, communicating complex information, active transportation, and long-term capacity for regional and local agencies. PlaceMatters was founded in December 2001 and is based in Denver, Colorado.
