PhosLo consists of the mineral calcium acetate. It is an orally given phosphate binder used in patients with end stage renal disease (ESRD). PhosLo Tablets (calcium acetate) are administered orally for the control of hyperphosphatemia in end stage renal failure. PhosLo, in both capsule and gelcap formulations, has been approved for the control of hyperphosphatemia in end stage renal failure in adult patients.
