Phistem was founded in June 2009 to identify and develop small molecules and other modulators of critical signaling pathways involved in intercellular communication in stem cells and cancer stem cells, notably agonists and antagonists involved in regeneration and cancer. Phistem has developed a unique drug screening and development expertise to efficiently identify the best compounds that antagonize or agonize these pathways at different levels, that destroy cancer stem cells or that enhance healing.
