The Phi Sigma Biological Sciences Honor Society is devoted to the promotion of research and academic excellence in the biological sciences. It was founded at Ohio State University, March 17, 1915, and became a member society of the Association of College Honor Societies in 1950. Phi Sigma is affiliated with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), Publishers of the journal Science.
