Paw Paw Brewing Company was founded in early 2010 by Ben Fleckenstein, Ryan Sylvester, and Shawn Dougherty. Located in the small village of Paw Paw on the banks of the Paw Paw River surrounded by beautiful wilderness. The idea behind Paw Paw Brewing Company was to create a place where the community could gather and connect with one another over a pint of locally hand crafted beer. In December 2010 the door opened for business with four beers on tap, St. James English Mild, Black River Oatmeal Stout, Paw Paw Wheat and 2Paws IPA. Over the course of the last five year years Paw Paw Brewing Company has become the community place it was intended to be. Many ingredients have gone into creating Paw Paw Brewing Company as it has become today but none more important than the community and the Paw Paw Brewing Company team.
