My job is to help make sure the content you publish is designed to accomplish your business's strategic goals. Sometimes that means consulting with you and then delivering a content strategy that can be as detailed as you like. Sometimes it means writing the content for you myself, and sometimes it means managing a team of writers. It almost always means playing the role of chief hole-poker...being that annoying person in the back of the room who's always shouting, "But what about...?" That's only because, as an outsider, I'm in a unique position to spot things that don't register on your radar. That's especially true when it comes to the "the curse of knowledge" -- that temporary amnesia that causes experts to forget how much they didn't know before they were experts (the end result being that they talk over their customers' heads). The bottom line is that, however we get there, my job is to help you create content that means business.
