This Scripture from Luke 4:18,19 (NKJV) captures the foundational essence of the vision, values, and guidance for the outflow of ministries here at Park Avenue: Jesus said, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me (we welcome the active ministry of the Holy Spirit in what we do), to preach the gospel to the poor (we teach and cultivate the Word of God, the Bible), He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted (we establish life-giving relationships, and minister to those broken in body, soul, and spirit), to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed (as best as possible we bring inspired revelation of God to those trapped in spiritual darkness), to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord (we proclaim the power of Jesus, the King of Kings, and His salvation, goodness, and the blessings of God).”
