PagePicnic started life as Hemsida24, a Swedish company that launched a progressional website builder in 2008. Founders Mikael Öhren and Ludvig Granberg came upon the idea when conducting a marketing project in university, where they interviewed over 300 photographers and asked how they built and maintained their portfolio websites. It became clear to them both that there existed no 'go-to solution' for building simple and beautiful websites. The company has now grown to over 10,000 paying customers and expects a 2013 revenue of 2.5 MUSD.
