Orion Veterinary is a medical technology development company that has designed a wireless healthmonitoring platform for animals. The company is in the precommercialisation phase of development. It is based in NovaUCD, where it is developing its product line. Orion has developed a number of innovative sensors along with analysis software. Initial applications for the technology focus on clinical monitoring, gait analysis and preclinical mastitis. Orion is also collaborating with universities, nationally and internationally, on the development of sensors and novel biomedical applications for both humans and animals.
