One Bay Area is a state-mandated, integrated long-range transportation, land-use, and housing plan that aims to support a growing economy, provide more housing and transportation choices, and reduce transportation-related pollution in the nine-counties of San Francisco Bay Area. The sustainable community strategy is a joint initiative of the San Francisco Bay Area’s four main regional government agencies: The Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG), the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD), the Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC), and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC). One Bay Area is focused on developing Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma.
