Omnicademy is a free social networking platform that allows universities to share their course content. As a member, a student may take the courses offered and receive credit from the approved academic partners. The social networking aspect allows faculty members and students to connect without becoming [Facebook](http://www.crunchbase.com/organization/facebook) friends. Omnicademy also uses tools that exist in other learning management systems such as [Moodle](http://www.crunchbase.com/organization/moodle) and [Blackboard](http://www.crunchbase.com/organization/blackboard).
