Since the start the purposes and main goals have been to: 1) To educate inventors in the development and promotion of their inventive art. 2) To disseminate to its members the techniques and information on proper patent application and new patent procedures. 3) To assist inventors in the exhibition of their inventions at periodical expositions. 4) To develop among inventors, a spirit of cooperation that will enable one to help another in gaining knowledge on methods of surmounting difficulties in the invention process. 5) To keep the members informed on new developments of the US Patent Office and foreign countries' patent requirements. 6) To create opportunities for inventors and manufacturers to come together and exchange information and education on invention development into useful products.
