Nortel Inversora SA (Nortel) is an Argentina-based company engaged principally in the investment in the share capital of Telecom Argentina SA (Telecom). Through this entity, the Company is active in the provision of national fixed-line telecommunication services, mobile telephony, international long-distance service, data transmission and Internet services, as well as other services. As of December 31, 2011, the Company held majority stake in Telecom. In addition, Sofora Telecomunicaciones SA was the Company’s majority shareholder.
