In 2005 some open source web evangelists got together and set themselves to finding out everything there was to know about telecoms - and what could be done to improve it using open source technologies and web application principles. Since then they've deployed solutions for organisations across industries as diverse as insurance; energy; rail infrastructure; finance; and archaeology. And they've used the experience to build a platform that empowers IT managers and developers to use telephony as an opportunity for business process optimisation.
