Nervacero has continuously invested in their facilities to continuously increase the quality of their products. The acquisition of Nervacero in 1988 made Grupo Celsa leader on the Spanish corrugated round rods market. Nervacero has an electric furnace with a feeder for the pre-heating of scrap metal with a production capacity of one million tonnes of liquid steel per year. Its Danieli lamination mill produces round corrugated rods and smooth round rods. Thanks to the continued commitment to investment and technological innovation, its later integration into Laminaciones Arregui, S.L. (located in Vitoria) in 1996 has meant the diversification of the product towards the manufacture of welded pipes and steel bands. For August 2004, Nervacero plans to start up a new installation in the lamination mill, with a finish for rolls (Spooler mill), which means that as well as laminating corrugated rods, it shall also laminate rolls on a reel, thus completing the range of corrugated rods.
