In Myanmar, most of the +8 million young people face either unemployment or low-quality jobs. At the same time, the private and public sectors face a shortage of young skilled workers. MYEO (Myanmar Youth Empowerment Opportunities) is an ed-tech that educates youth on digital literacy and employability skills while providing data-driven insights and connection to youth for private and public sectors. Since its inception in 2014, the startup has supported +100,000 young people across Myanmar and partnered with prominent global and local corporates, including Facebook. Recently, it has launched a subscription model to deliver bite-sized, data-driven, customized educational content through a Facebook Messenger chatbot.
