Easy-to-follow documentation walks the company through setting up identity management, and configuring their services to use one username and password for everything with seamless single sign-on (SSO). For companies that provide services to other companies or end users, a hardware appliance and authenticator app enables them to add strong authentication (multifactor) to their offerings through a simple API. This hardware appliance is a secure box located on their network (or in a datacenter), which stores and validates keys. By moving this to a dedicated, secure appliance, a compromised server does not mean all the accounts are also compromised.
