MTECH Laboratories, LLC was founded in 2001 to research, develop, and commercialize spin-off technologies associated with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). MTECH represents a diverse group of experienced individuals. Its President, Dr. Michael J. Hennessy, was formerly chief scientist at Intermagnetics General Corporation. MTECH Senior Engineer, Dr. Otward Mueller, was previously senior RF/MRI research engineer at General Electric's Corporate Research and Development Center, and then formed a small research and development firm, LTE. Dr Mueller is considered by many to have pioneered the field of Cryogenic Power Electronics (circa 1985). MTECH Laboratories and LTE combined operations in 2001.
