More Biogas Småland AB was formed in February 2011 after several years of preparation. The company has 29 shareholders, of which 18 are farmers in Förlösa, Läckeby and Rockneby, just north of Kalmar. Other shareholders include Läckeby Water AB, Famax AB, a private investor, ALMI Invest, CA Real Estate, Hund Holding and Kalmar Energy. Farmers together own about 35%. More Biogas has built a convection facility that was ready in winter 2014. The plant produces ready-made compressed gas for local use. Raw materials are manure from farm farms and food waste from households in neighboring municipalities. The biogas plant is located in Mosekrog, just off the E22 about one mile north of Kalmar and is housed in premises from the former engineering industry.
