In August 2009 NHS Milton Keynes comissioned Milton Keynes Urgent Care Services (MKUCS) to provide a dedicated NHS Urgent Care service for them in Milton Keynes. Over the last 4years, local GPs and Milton Keynes Hospital have been working together to build a service that will ensure that anyone who needs it will be able to get immediate treatment for urgent conditions that are not serious enough to need to go to the A&E department but cannot wait until the patient can get to see their GP.
