Medtronic's Endovascular business is among the fastest-growing divisions of Medtronic and has been for the past five years. It spans two segments: Aortic and Peripheral. The Aortic segment develops stent grafts and auxiliary technology for the minimally invasive repair of aneurysms in the aorta, the main artery in the body that branches off the heart. The Peripheral segment develops stents and balloon catheters for the interventional treatment of narrowed arteries beyond the heart and brain, carrying blood throughout the body to the lower extremities.
