Maps of India is an online repository of maps on India providing business mapping solutions and thematic map images of India, its states, union territories, districts, and cities. It is an established brand, servicing businesses, institutions, and individuals across the globe. In 1998, Maps of India became fully operational with over 250 maps. Yahoo was impressed with Maps of India in terms of the depth of information that was offered, and worked together with Maps of India to develop a directory structure within yahoo’s India sub-directory called Maps & Views. Yahoo reciprocated the gesture of Maps of India by accommodating Maps of India in each section of the new directory structure. Chandigarh, Pondicherry, Haryana, and the whole of the North East, was among the new directory structures created specifically to accommodate Maps of India. From 250 maps as its initial database, Maps of India has grown to over 6,000 pages of maps and content. Maps of India was launched in 1998 by Simarprit Singh.
