Telecommunication company "Macomnet" was founded on November 5, 1991 as a joint venture of the Moscow Metro and Andrew Corporation. Macomnet takes an active part in the development of the infrastructure of the city of Moscow. Every day about 9 million residents and visitors of Moscow use the services of the Moscow Metro, the turnstiles of which are connected to the Control and Settlement Center through the network of Macomnet JSC. Owners of mobile phones can use cellular services at Metro stations thanks to the communication channels of the company Macomnet.
